Can you have faith in Santa Claus? Jolly Old St. Nicholas is a fundamental part of western society and most of us matured with this magical icon. Recently I came upon the notion that Santa represents an exclusive archetype. In Jungian psychology, archetype is defined as an inherited memory represented within the mind from a universal symbol and observed in dreams and myths.
While seeking for these symbolic images of the dear old man I saw that which Santa Claus means can also be used to motivate us in creating for your new year. I see him like a fun-loving guy that literally brings us joy, love, excitement and happiness. It’s said he makes all of our dreams and wishes be realized. In this season our company is loaded with expectations, the brilliance of light-filled homes, the enjoyment for being with friends and neighbors to celebrate life, and also the joy and gratitude of giving and receiving.
I learn that santa visits our house reflects several archetypes. He can be seen inside the Innocent archetype, helping us to trust, to hope and also to assume that a much better day lies ahead. He or she is clearly driven by faith and trust, bring that hope and giving us that faith as well as the trust that most will likely be well.
The Caregiver archetype, however, is not inside the exercise of power that is the motive, but the drive to bestow care on those who need it: the care, concern and nurturing they lack but deserve. He or she is about giving to others fulfilling their needs. And then he fails to request anything in exchange except a cookie, glass of milk or some eggnog. He is apparently an excellent guy, settling on who gets a new Nintendo and who gets t-shirts or shoes. If we are excellent and when we think, Santa will make sure we have everything we wish.
A substantial part of Santa’s story is the magical transformation from his rising up a chimney by the touch of his nose as well as his yearly trek world wide. And on top of that, his flying reindeer without GPS onboard is nothing short of miraculous, indeed. He magically brings gratitude, compassion and want to all, one child’s heart at the same time. Santa may be the quintessential Magician archetype helping us transform and transcend current reality to locate new methods of dealing, being and succeeding.
As we are coming up with our dreams, our visions, and our options for 2010, let’s all remember to use our Santa Claus model in conjunction with the Law of Attraction, Creation and Allowing. As you may have chosen after which more clearly defined your options in creating your 2010 Journey, utilize this technique to shift your beliefs and allowing of this which you desire.
Sometimes only the subtle shift from viewing our images from a grownup part of attempting to force, worrying over and wondering how things will change, for the wide-eyed expectations and faith of kids. An integral component of the ability of Allowing is always to let go and let God. Releasing our attachment to old beliefs, ideas and teachings allows us to available to the Infinite Possibilities of the Universe.
Then too, we could liken Santa’s management skills to a universal manager. Can you envision him bringing toys to everyone, world-wide, within just one night? And all by the due date and within budget? That’s what we’re taught the Universe can perform for all of us, whenever we turn it onto God/Source. In the book “Ask & It Is Actually Given” one of the Proven Processes is catchusanta it to the manager. While we set our goals, it’s like delegating to some Universal Manager. And also as we take a step back, and enable the Universe set things in place, we CREATE! Remember, we’re not quitting choices, we’re merely turning over all the details and creating our choices.
I urge you to focus on giving over to your Universal Manager all the stuff you sense you must do throughout this holiday week. You’ll believe it is amazing that when we shift our focus of reality, our reality changes. I’ve carried this out personally when I’ve felt overwhelmed by all the chores I feel I have to do. Amazingly, some get done, some don’t, while some just don’t seem so important. I’ve had situations when my daughters and daughters-in-law would offer to perform a number of the baking. I’ve learned to accept help and reply with a grateful “Yes!” This procedure is priceless in every areas of life, not only the holidays. What The Law States of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that needs to eventually bring me my desires, Now.
